This evening, wooSai's matches against Gravitas and ideal in EPS Denmark drawn a lot of attention.

With three new players on the team, wooSai made an impressive debut picking up a win against Gravitas. The match against ideal on de_train, however, didn't turn out in favor of wooSai. Though they lost 16-11, their performance is still accepted.

By beating Gravitas, they secured a place in the LAN finals. I talked to pzyclone, team captain of wooSai, about the debut of the new team, and their expectations to the finals.

You had your debute today with your new team with vimo, telli, and woodi. You started out impressively by beating Gravitas on nuke. Did you expect a win?
No not really. Of course we always believe we are able to take down any opponent, but we sure didn't expect it.

In the match against Gravitas, all three newcomers played well - especially woodi and vimo impressed. What are your opinion of their first appereance? Are you satisfied?
Yeah of course I am. It's a very good start with your new team to beat the number two in Denmark. Even though it was online I still believe it shows we got a lot of potential. In the Gravitas match we all played well, and as you say especially vimo and woodi did a great job, and I surdently hope we can make such results again later on. Now we have to focus alot on our pracctice, and try to become even better as a team.

As you mention, Gravitas is by many considered the number two in Denmark. Are you taking that spot?
Haha, maybe in a few months, but we haven't proved enough yet to say that we have taken that spot right now. I hope that we'll be able to take it, but it will take a lot of events to secure that "title".

Shortly after your win, you faced ideal on de_train. For some it might come as a surprise that you beat Gravitas but loses 16-11 to ideal. What went wrong?
Ideal is a very strong team on train. Nuggi is an amazing awp player, and takes out a lot of guys if you dont play the map the right way. We have only been playing train like 5-6 times, and train is without a doubt the hardest map to play as a new team. You really need to know what you are going to do in that specific situation, and if you dont, people like Nuggi will have an easy time taking you out. It may sound like I mean that Nuggi was the only one doing a great job for Ideal, but if you can take him out and get control of him, it will be a lot easier to win against them.

Winning or losing against ideal was, in some way, not important. With your first win against Gravitas, you secured a place in the LAN finals the 26th January. What are your expectations to the finals?
First of all I really hope it will be a good event, with a lot of exciting matches. As I understand it will be Single Elimination BO3 at the finals, and we will be facing either Gravitas, chemistry or capture, depending on the last results in the league. We'll probably meet Gravitas then, and if we can manage to beat them, we really got a good shot at winning the event. Ideal/wooSai/SoA(if they win their qual match) are all teams at the same level, with Gravitas a bit above us. I really hope that we'll win the event, as I wont be happy with either 2nd, 3rd or 4th place :)

It sounds like a plan ;) Your debut with the new lineup is definetly accepted. The question is, will this lineup prevail? Is this THE lineup or is it only realistic to expect that wooSai will soon be undergoing some changes yet again?
Well, on the danish scene it's very normal for a team to make a change in the lineup after an event, but I surdently hope that we wont be doing that. With the first lineup, which was walth, bardi, woodi, telli and me, we were together for almost 6 months, and I hope that we'll manage to do the same, or even better with this lineup. I can't say if this just is THE lineup, but I really got a good feeling about this team.

Here in the end, I have to ask: Against Gravitas at de_nuke, you ruined a perfect ace for woodi at the ramp. What was that all about?!
Haha, I did? I didn't even know... Well, it was probably only an eco ace, so I don't even think he would have been that happy anyways :p

With tonight's results, ideal and wooSai have secured a spot in the LAN finals in Copenhagen the 26th January. The last four spots will be filled out by SoA, capture, GravitasGamingand chemistry.
